Welcome To Rahara United Brothers’ Welfare Association

Rahara United Brothers’ Welfare Association (RUBWA) is a registered, non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit voluntary organization established in September 1990. The organization is committed to social welfare, educational support, health awareness, cultural development, and humanitarian assistance, with a primary focus on rural and semi-urban communities of West Bengal.

Organizational Overview

RUBWA works for social welfare, educational support, health awareness, cultural development, and humanitarian assistance, with a primary focus on rural and semi-urban communities of West Bengal. Over more than three decades, the association has grown into a structured community institution guided by transparency, collective participation, and ethical service delivery.

The association was founded by former students of Ramakrishna Mission, Rahara, and continues to operate with the spirit of unity, discipline, and social responsibility.

Core programmes

Health, Education, Welfare, and Relief Activities

RUBWA delivers structured community programmes that address immediate needs while building long-term social value.

Voluntary blood donation camp

Health Services

Annual voluntary blood donation camps with around 80 to 100 donors, free medical check-up camps, thalassemia awareness, and blood donation awareness campaigns.

Educational support programme

Education Support

Books, learning materials, student support, free coaching where possible, and annual assistance to at least four economically disadvantaged students.

Cloth distribution and plantation drive

Social Welfare

Clothing distribution camps before Durga Puja, benefiting around 300 underprivileged people, plus monsoon plantation drives for environmental awareness.

Disaster relief programme

Disaster Relief

Humanitarian response for cyclone and disaster-affected communities, including the 2009 Aila relief work in the Sundarbans and support after Cyclone Yash in Purba Medinipur.

RUBWA continues to serve marginalized communities through health, education, culture, and disaster relief, and welcomes collaboration with volunteers, partners, and supporters.
